The Tony award-winning show takes over the Old Vic Theatre in London from November to March

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The Broadway show Kiss Me, Kate jumps across the pond this autumn for a four-month stint at London's Old Vic Theatre. The Tony award-winning show, directed by acclaimed director Trevor Nunn is a reboot of the Cole Porter Broadway classic.

For those that don't know, Kiss Me, Kate is a show within a show; it centres around a group of actors, a director and a producer putting on a performance of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Conflict, comedy and action come to the fore through the play's director, the star – who happens to be his ex-wife – and the producer. Further colour is added with gangsters, combative actors and romantic ups and downs. It may be set in the forties, but this is a truly timeless musical show that can't possibly disappoint.

The Trevor Nunn version stars Alex Bourne, David Burt, Clive Rowe, Hannah Waddingham and Adam Garcia. Tickets are priced at between £11 and £60 and the show kicks off on 20 November and runs until March.

LondonTown.com suggests combining a performance of Kiss Me, Kate with an overnight stay in one of the capital's many hotels. LondonTown.com – the number one Internet site for London – has slashed rates at hotels in London this winter, including at luxury four- and five-star properties located within walking distance of the Old Vic Theatre.

For example, the stunning five-star London Marriott Hotel County Hall located on Westminster Bridge Road overlooking the River Thames, is now available for £205 per night, thanks to exclusive LondonTown.com discounts of 61%. This is one of London's premier hotels and facilities are almost endless and include a fitness centre, swimming pool and spa.

LondonTown.com caters to smaller budgets too. The family-run Bridge Hotel London, a three-star modern property, offers exceptional value for money. Room rates have been discounted by 25% so per night prices now start at £74 and this even includes continental breakfast at this Southwark based hotel.
