John Z Wetmore, host and producer of “Perils For Pedestrians”, has conducted
interviews in all 50 states, 4 Canadian provinces, and 8 countries overseas.
Guests include advocates, planners, engineers, academics, and public officials.

design, urban planning, safe routes to school, and public health. The television
series has a companion website, www.pedestrians.org

The ten episodes featured in the marathon include trips to London, Dublin, Zurich,
New York, Illinois, California, and ten other states. Questions explored include:
the importance of walking for emergency evacuation; the application of the
Americans with Disabilities Act to sidewalk infrastructure; non-motorized
transportation and climate change; and the status of bicycles in engineering
education.
