Press Release Body: Legend Press announces ‘Silence’ – to launch late-July

Legend Press is delighted to announce the acquisition of ‘SILENCE’ by Josie
Henley-Einion, the latest novel added to the small publisher’s rapidly-growing list.
The author was signed-up having written two exceptional short stories Legend Press’s
‘Short Story Reinvented’ series. With high media interest, SILENCE is to be pushed
through to launch 26th July.

SILENCE is a hard-hitting and topical novel portraying Jackie Harris, prison
counsellor and ex-drag king, who kills her female lover\'s rapist in what she insists
is self-defence. The powerfully-written and originally-styled novel is an
examination of sexual violence and its repercussions and questions the right of the
media to scrutinise and pronounce judgement on a person’s individual life choices.

Tom Chalmers, Managing Director of Legend Press, commented: “We knew we had
undercovered a rare writing talent in Josie through our short story series. She was
immediately keen for us to look at her completed novel, and now we can see why – it
a stunning, stylish and unique novel that we expect to take the book market by
storm. It so relevant and timely for the current reading public and society that we
simply had to bring it forward to a July launch.”
