Water Seed (Knowledge and Growth): The Rebirth of the Classical Funk Soul Band
Instrumentation: Lou Hill- Drums / Cinese- Flute/Vocals/ Ryan- Lead Vocals / J

Water Seed was only months away from completing their second CD when tragedy struck.
Hurricane Katrina displaced all the members of this young band and totally
devastated all property, lifestyle and livelihood that Water Seed spent years
building. The band found a home in Atlanta Georgia and found a way to move forward.
Like all those affected, Water Seed got back to the business of making and
expressing themselves through their music.
This good looking young professional band is spearheading the new generation of the
rebirth of the classic funk soul band by presenting their third live album “Early
For The Future” which will be released February 19, 2008. “Early For The Future”
creates a fusion of funk and soul that goes beyond novel trends and that has
everything to do with their cultural upbringing. The band offers a high dose of
rhythms, sensuality and pleasure on each of their tracks.

Water Seed is anything but a typical funk, Jazz soul act. The 8 songs that make up
their live album “Early For The Future“ introduces Water Seed as a group who have
fused their musical origins of drums, flute, keys, guitar, bass, percussion and
horns to that of a mix with Louisiana music influences. Resulting in a concoction
of jazz, funk, blues, neo soul rhythms that any audience can feel by the first note

“Early For The Future” has tracks such as “Pressin”, “Missin you”, “I’m Tryin” and
“Dance In The Sunshine” are prime examples of the groups’ musical prowess. In
addition the album tastefully samples songs such as the renowned Stevie Wonder
“Higher Ground” and The Meters “Hey Pocky Way.”

Already attracting media attention and fans approval, the first single titled
“Missing You” has been given radio play by several radio personalities at the WRFG
Community Radio 89.3 FM. Water Seed has been featured in December 2007 issue of The
Performer Magazine (Southeast) as well as “The one to watch” Creative Loafing
Atlanta Fall Guide. Online interviews in Creative Loafing’s Audiofloss and receiving
recognition from Sonicbids as the December 2007 “Sonicbids Spotlight Artist” of the
week.

“Early For The Future” represents the solidification of a musical genre that has
survived after the chaos following Katrina, with songs that paint a true mosaic of
the bands musical influences, from Jazz, Classic Funk and Soul.
Water Seed’s music will not pass inadvertently as just another trend. On February
19 2008 “Early For The Future” will continue to remind you of the better days and
their soulful vibe has a way of getting into your heart and mind causing
unexplained desires to sing and dance.
