Press Release Summary: IGI (Ian Greaves International) specialist consultants
providing UK and International advice and assistance Food Hygiene, Health and Safety

Press Release Body:
In December 2008 Ian Greaves the managing Director of IGI Ltd will be visiting the
UAE to formally launch the HACCP Academy
An international organisation with the sole purpose of promoting, and recognising
excellence in HACCP, within the food industry.
Members can be either an individual with an interest or responsibility in the
subject; or a company who have HACCP as a core value.
The Academy operates in all sectors of food supply and service; including
manufacture, retail, catering, distribution and also ancillary services such as food
packaging, specialist cleaning, pest control, training and development etc.

How do I become a member?
There are three levels of membership:

Level 1: This is the introductory level where an individual or company will register
with the Academy. They will have to show a genuine interest in HACCP and demonstrate
a basic proficiency in the subject.

Level 2: This level is achieved when an individual or company has undertaken
specific training in the subject. Also they have shown the implementation of HACCP
in a business and its continuance.

Level 3: The highest level within the Academy can be reached with historical
evidence showing excellence in HACCP through training, development and
implementation. This would involve more advanced training and audit to prove
competency and continuance.

Certification and Awards (Criteria dependant)

Companies/individuals that fulfill level 3 criteria will be posted on the Academy
Web Site. This can be then used as a promotional or marketing or accreditation tool.
