Workplace Law announces new IOSH Managing Safely course dates for 2008

Released on: October 15, 2007, 1:13 am

Press Release Author: Workplace Law

Industry: Management

Press Release Summary: Workplace Law has just announced new 2008 course dates for
IOSH Managing Safely, meaning even more choice of dates and locations for the UK\'s
most popular health and safety training course. The course is perfect for managers
and supervisors in any sector and organisation who want to make a significant impact
in improving their health and safety culture. Places can be booked now at
http://www.workplacelaw.net/training/course/id/4.

Press Release Body: The course is accredited by IOSH, and will help attendees and
their organisations to:

-know what is meant by the terms \'hazard\' and \'risk\';
-evaluate risk using a structured risk assessment approach;
-identify and implement appropriate workplace precautions for specific risks or seek
advice on workplace precautions;
-be involved in preparing written risk assessments;
-understand and have input into their organisation’s health and safety policy and
health and safety management system;
-cooperate and communicate on health and safety matters;
-ensure that their own work and that of the employees for whom they are responsible
is carried out safely, i.e. without undue risk to themselves and others;
-report relevant accidents and incidents; and
-identify methods of monitoring how safe their workplaces are.

The course can be delivered over a number of weeks on a day-release basis, or in a
four-day block. A five-day option is also available. If you are looking to train
eight or more people in your organisation, the course can be run on site in your own
training room, providing the ability to tailor the content to your own organisation
and offering great value for money. All candidates are formally assessed by means of
an examination at the end of the course and a practical workplace-based assessment,
and delegates who successfully complete the course will receive an IOSH certificate.

Dates for the public courses are as follows:

-Manchester, City Inn Hotel, 12-15 November 2007
-Cambridge, Fitzwilliam College, 19-22 November 2007
-London, MWB Business Exchange Centre, 26-29 November 2007
-London, MI Conference Centre, 14-17 January 2008
-London, MI Conference Centre, 25-28 February 2008
