Press Release Body = The Dove Foundation will host its third Dove Designers’
Showhouse of St. Charles County during the month of October. The event will be open
to the public daily for tours from October 1-31. The gorgeous four-story home is
already under construction in NewTown in St. Charles, MO, and the “Angel” builder is
Whittaker Homes. This year’s charity recipient is Show-Me Aquatics & Fitness. “The
theme of the 2007 Showhouse event,” said Deb Smith, vice president of The Dove
Foundation and event chairwoman, “is New Urban Elegance.”

According to Smith, she and her husband Greg Smith, foundation president, started
The Dove Foundation in 2001. “Greg and I wanted the foundation’s mission to focus
on raising money for the working poor living in St. Charles County,” she said. “To
date, we’ve raised more than $200,000 to benefit local residents living in our
community.”

The 2007 Dove Designers’ Showhouse is a very unique home boasting more than five
bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a detached guest cottage and art studio, two pools, a
wine room and an interior elevator. More than 30 creative interior designers and
tradesmen will transform this home into a showhouse in true “Dove” tradition.
“These giving people are the project’s ‘angels’ and they are the central attraction
of the event,” Smith added.

Ellen Kurtz, founder and owner of Ellen Kurtz Interiors is the Interior Design
chairwoman for the project. Event co-chairwomen are Lisa Maull of Whittaker Homes
and Lisa Drier, executive director of Show-Me Aquatics & Fitness. The executive
committee is comprised of individuals from all areas, aspects and disciplines across
St. Charles County.

“As you might imagine,” Smith concluded, “an event of this magnitude requires months
and months of advance planning. We rely on the support of some 300 volunteers to
make the Dove Designers’ Showhouse a reality.” Anyone interested in supporting the
