Press Release Body = Ardsley, New York February 21, 2006—Many
professionals—including lawyers, accountants and consultants—bill their clients
according to the amount of time spent on a project, a concept known as the “billable
hour.” The Billable Hour Company has compiled a comprehensive collection of
resources addressing this concept and the related notion of value billing. The
“Billable Hour Resources Page” can be found at
www.TheBillableHour.com/resources.php.

The Resources Page links to books, articles, studies and reports, and blog posts on
the subject. The collection spans more than a decade, from a 1993 article that
appeared in Law Practice Management magazine to a number of February 2006 posts at a
blog called the [non]billable hour. Lisa Solomon, a practicing lawyer and partner
in The Billable Hour Company, vetted all of the listed items for relevance before
adding them to the collection.

“While the utility and proper role of the ‘billable hour’ is hotly debated in the
legal community, until now there hasn’t been a single comprehensive source for links
to writings on the subject,” said Billable Hour Company partner Mark Solomon.
“Although our timepieces are certainly a comment on the ‘billable hour,’ hopefully
they inject some humor into the lives of lawyers and others for whom that construct
looms large. But we also wanted to encourage serious consideration of the issues
involved in the billable hour/value billing discussion.”

Since the controversy rages on, the Solomons plan to update the Resources Page on a
regular basis. Anyone who is interested in automatically receiving notice of the
updates can subscribe to the Resources Page RSS feed by visiting
www.TheBillableHour.com/resources.php or adding that URL to their feed reader.
