Caltrans signs agreement for Transoft’s unlimited agency licensing
November 15, 2005 – Vancouver, B.C, Canada
Transoft Solutions Inc., developers of time-saving and productivity enhancing
software for the transportation industry, has announced it has reached a new
licensing agreement with Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) on an
unlimited agency license for Transoft Solutions’ AutoTURN 5.0 software. The
recently closed deal permits Caltrans to distribute and utilize the software
statewide in all of the DOT’s locations and sites.
“With the new agency licensing, Caltrans will be able to better manage, distribute
and standardize state wide usage and access to the AutoTURN 5.0 software,” said
Karen Kuipers, account executive for Transoft Solutions. “Based on Caltrans’
geographic size, corporate structure, number of CAD users and projects, the
unlimited agency license simply made the most sense as the best cost effective and
time saving option. “
As part of the contract, Transoft Solutions will be on location to train the various
California districts in October. As the training has been completed, the AutoTURN
software will be made available for all Caltrans CAD users to assist in their
transportation projects. The Transoft Solutions team will continuing to work in
conjunction with Caltrans to assist with the statewide roll out for the software to
all 12 Districts and Corporate office. Prior to the new agreement, Caltrans had 46
independent licenses, 4 local area network licenses and a single district agency
license for the AutoTURN software.
